Hello! Here's a quick outfit post to show you my wonderful new booties from forever 21 - they are exactly what I've been looking for and I'm so excited to wear them with everything I own.

I leave for St Louis tomorrow night and then for Chicago on Sunday morning! I cannot wait - it will be so exciting!

two nearly 100% thrifted outfits - I just can't stop! 

the skirt from the first outfit was technically free, because forever 21 has been having a buy one get one sale recently. which means is was practically thrifted too. both outfits probably cost me under $30.

It's going to be sad when I go back to ny and can no longer shop at my favorite thrift stores. Every time I go back to school I go through thrift withdrawal and binge when I am home for the holidays. Hopefully I'll have enough money to follow my pattern again this year! 

I'm waiting for some really exciting packages to come in the mail - I can't wait to show you what's inside them and tell you where they're from!

A quick outfit post. Every time I post I am shocked at the amount of clothing I have that is secondhand. It's pretty crazy! This outfit makes me wonder about the previous owners of all these items. Who owned this shirt? Did they wear it in a similar way? How old were they? Why did they donate it?

Have these shorts been sitting in a thrift store since the 90's? I so wish I could see photos of the previous owner in them. 

Who wore this hat? An old woman? A young girl? Did they wear it to a wedding, to the beach, to a picnic?

Acid Animal Print

Hello lovelies! Here's a short outfit post - wearing another new dress from Romwe! Isn't it beautiful? Bold animal prints aren't normally my thing, but I absolutely love this dress. It fits perfectly and the cutouts at the top are gorgeous. 

Tonight I'll be going to see Shut Up and Play the Hits, a documentary about the final shows put on by LCD Soundsystem - I went to the first show at Terminal 5 in NYC and was in the front row, and I hope I'm shown in the documentary! That'd be wild. Anyway, I'm probably going to cry because James Murphy is one of the best musicians ever, and reliving the final week will be so incredibly sad. If you haven't heard anything by LCD Soundsystem, I strongly recommend you to look them up and download every album - they will change your life forever.

yes, EVERYONE has this dress. I don't care, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'm so happy I got it in the mail from Romwe the other day! I also made my second floral crown for this dress, and I love how it turned out.

Sugarlips

I received this gorgeous skirt in the mail today from Sugarlips Apparel! It's so perfect, I couldn't be more excited. Also, I can't believe I don't wear these shoes more often. They're incredible. I've had them for a year and only worn them once. 

I will be going to Chicago for the first time at the end of this month. I'm so excited for it! Any suggestions of things to do while I'm there?

No, You're Not Alone

floral on floral! I strongly considered adding in floral socks and shoes but refrained - almost regretting it now, but I actually enjoy this look without the complete floral explosion. I look a lot less disgusting in these photos than I feel today - it has been so humid! Ick!

This is my favorite song by one of my favorite Scottish bands, Glasvegas - it's so emotional and amazing, ahhhh <3. Also, just watched the video for the first time and the girl is beautiful. I'd probably cry too.

Slow down, you crazy child

everything is thrifted but the socks - they're from urban outfitters, and the jewelry, which is a combination of gifts and thrifted. Total outfit cost: $20

I've been way too broke to go shopping lately - even to thrift stores. It's tragic. Luckily I have a crazy amount of fun sweaters and straw hats to mix and match to create looks such as this one. 

The boots are my absolute favorite, but I can no longer wear them because they're almost completely destroyed. So so sad. I need to get them fixed, but don't have the money at the moment. 

I'm starting to get excited for August, when I will finally return to New York for the fall semester. I really miss it.

I went to see Death Cab for Cutie in Des Moines on Saturday - they were ahhhmazing. And I really like Des Moines. The people there seemed very nice. I love midwesterners so much, I've been reminded of how much recently. There's no one like them.

I've officially succeeded in becoming paler in the Missouri heat. I don't quite understand it, but it has happened. I am as white as paper. Whiter than paper. I almost want to bleach my hair and see if I turn completely invisible. 

And I would like to share one of the best bands in the world with everyone: Mew. They're Danish, and one of my absolute favorites.
