boots: urban outfitters, denim shirt, bag and belt: thrifted, velvet dress: c/o romwe
I've been obsessed with velvet for so so long, so of course I'm equally obsessed with this dress. It's so so SOFT. Ugh. Romwe just got some wonderful new velvet leggings in too, so definitely check them out!
galaxy leggings: c/o Romwe, black chiffon dress: c/o Oasap, heels and bag: urban outfitters
I finally got galaxy print leggings. Aren't they fabulous? I am too obsessed... seriously. Also, the lighting in these photos makes them look almost as good as they look in person. They're so vibrant and wonderful.
My classes are going really well. I'm a sociology major, as I've mentioned in previous posts, and I'm in two sociology classes at the moment. One is a research class where I need to come up with my own research project before the end of the semester. I'm nervous! I have no idea what I'll do it on! I also have to figure out what to write my honors thesis about soon, which is nerve-wracking as well!
I've also been invited to a Lookbook.nu x PINK by victoria's secret event tomorrow, and I'm so excited for it! It's the first lookbook event I'll be going to, and it's at this amazing venue. I will be sure to take lots and lots of photos so that I can share it with you guys!
A quick outfit post. Every time I post I am shocked at the amount of clothing I have that is secondhand. It's pretty crazy! This outfit makes me wonder about the previous owners of all these items. Who owned this shirt? Did they wear it in a similar way? How old were they? Why did they donate it?
Have these shorts been sitting in a thrift store since the 90's? I so wish I could see photos of the previous owner in them.
Who wore this hat? An old woman? A young girl? Did they wear it to a wedding, to the beach, to a picnic?
the shoes and dress are from urban outfitters, socks are from target and everything else is thrifted. total cost: $65
floral on floral! I strongly considered adding in floral socks and shoes but refrained - almost regretting it now, but I actually enjoy this look without the complete floral explosion. I look a lot less disgusting in these photos than I feel today - it has been so humid! Ick!
This is my favorite song by one of my favorite Scottish bands, Glasvegas - it's so emotional and amazing, ahhhh <3. Also, just watched the video for the first time and the girl is beautiful. I'd probably cry too.
everything is thrifted but the socks - they're from urban outfitters, and the jewelry, which is a combination of gifts and thrifted. Total outfit cost: $20
I've been way too broke to go shopping lately - even to thrift stores. It's tragic. Luckily I have a crazy amount of fun sweaters and straw hats to mix and match to create looks such as this one.
The boots are my absolute favorite, but I can no longer wear them because they're almost completely destroyed. So so sad. I need to get them fixed, but don't have the money at the moment.
I'm starting to get excited for August, when I will finally return to New York for the fall semester. I really miss it.
I spent my morning dancing around my house alone while making cinnamon rolls and listening to this song:

Outfit 1: crop top and skirt: DIY, bag: thrifted, boots and hair clip: Urban Outfitters, jewelry: vintage, gifts, thrifted. Total cost: $40
Outfit 2: floral crown: DIY, top and shorts: thrifted, perforated oxfords: Urban Outfitters, necklace: vintage. Total cost: $38
I designed this crop top/ skirt set from an old floor length dress that I picked up in a thrift store. I am so so happy with how it turned out - I've been wanting a crop top/skirt matching set since I saw the beautiful ones sold on Nasty Gal. I plan to make a few more soon! I have also decided that since most of what I buy is thrifted or sale items, I'm going to start posting the estimated total cost of my outfits.
The total cost of these two is so high because of the shoes in both outfits - I paid about $30 for each pair, which is a lot for me. I rarely pay over $15 for articles of clothing.
the dress and feather extensions are from forever 21, the jewelry is gifts, vintage, thrifted or from forever 21, the boots and bag are from urban outfitters, and glasses are thrifted.
I am so in love with this dress - and it was so cheap! Forever 21 has some really great bodycon dresses at the moment, and most of them are under $10.

My apologies for the still wet hair, I was in a rush to take these photos so I could get ready to leave for St Louis - which I am about to do! I can't wait!
The glasses, bag and shoes are thrifted, the skirt is thrifted/DIY, the socks are from Target and the top is from H&M.
the dress can be found here, the shoes and bag are thrifted, socks are from ebay and necklace is vintage.
I'm wearing my beautiful new dress from Romwe! I'm so excited that I finally got something from their website - I've drooled over their clothes for so long - they're incredibly stylish and I love the fact that they have completely free shipping to anywhere in the world.
Also, tomorrow I go to my fourth concert of the summer! I'm seeing Los Campesinos! I could not be more excited for it - I'll be heading to St. Louis for the weekend.
