It's that ancient love that you won't outgrow - Trinity Place Department Store giveaway!

Trinity Place Department Store in NYC has asked me to share a giveaway they're having - one lucky winner gets a $500 shopping spree! Just click here to enter, and you can read more about the store here!

Trinity Place has lots of exclusive hand-selected pieces from European designers, and I am so jealous of whoever ends up winning the shopping spree. :) Good luck!

And here's my outfit of the day:

dress: Urban Outfitters, bag: thrifted, lace top: thrifted, loafers: thrifted

Pastel colors are too hard to resist in the spring, I just wish they didn't make my skin look translucent!

My apologies for the still wet hair, I was in a rush to take these photos so I could get ready to leave for St Louis - which I am about to do! I can't wait!

The glasses, bag and shoes are thrifted, the skirt is thrifted/DIY, the socks are from Target and the top is from H&M.

Have a wonderful day, my lovelies! I know I will!

Little Black Dress

the dress can be found here, the shoes and bag are thrifted, socks are from ebay and necklace is vintage.

I'm wearing my beautiful new dress from Romwe! I'm so excited that I finally got something from their website - I've drooled over their clothes for so long - they're incredibly stylish and I love the fact that they have completely free shipping to anywhere in the world.

Also, tomorrow I go to my fourth concert of the summer! I'm seeing Los Campesinos! I could not be more excited for it - I'll be heading to St. Louis for the weekend.

Here's an incredible song by them:

My style seems to change on a daily basis. I can't help it - I'm just so inspired by so many different things, and I love all of them. My wardrobe is filled with random pieces that don't look like they all belong to the same person, and to be honest, I love it.

I don't think that anyone should let themselves be defined by any one particular style. It's important to try new things and to be creative, and it's hard to do that when you wear a variation of the same outfit every single day (which I have been pretty guilty of this summer - thrifted shorts and crop tops have been seen way too regularly in my posts lately)

The slip dress is from urban outfitters, the lace shirt is from a garage sale, the glasses are thrifted and the shoes are Jeffrey Campbell

Tractor Chic

My family owns a tractor. I've never really understood why, as we don't live on a farm or have an enormous amount of property or anything, but it's always been there! I'm not complaining, however, because it made for a lovely prop with this vintage look.

The hat is vintage, glasses are thrifted, swim top is from American Apparel - buy it here. and the jeans are vintage Express

The Simplest DIY Ever.

What I'm wearing: shoes, bag, glasses: thrifted, shorts: thrifted & DIY, Hat: forever 21, top: no idea, but I cropped it myself

I was quite bored yesterday so I decided to do a DIY - I've been wanting to paint a pair of shorts for awhile now, I just couldn't decide what I wanted on them. I think they turned out just fine, though! I'm sad that I waited so long!

Anyways, what you need:
A pair of shorts
Fabric paint
Paint brushes
Newspaper (probably)
Inspiration for a pattern

This is incredibly self-explanatory, but that's okay I guess - it is my first DIY, after all!

First, make sure you put newspaper in your shorts, as the paint might leak through.

Figure out what kind of pattern you want - I did a really simple tribal inspired one that I basically copied from something I saw online. You can copy mine if you want, I don't care.

You may need to use a ruler or something to get the lines straight - I didn't use one, because it was a complete experiment. I just went for it, using the lines of the shorts.

Paint away!

Well there you go! I hope to do another pair soon, since I've now had a little bit of practice - I think I'll paint flowers on the next ones :)

Have a wonderful Sunday!
